Deleting a trigger

The following sections describe how to delete table and field triggers.

Note: When you delete a trigger from the Data Dictionary, you do not delete the trigger procedure itself.

To delete a table trigger:

Choose Schema Modify Table. The Data Dictionary alphabetically lists all the tables defined for your database.
Select the table for which you want to delete the trigger. The Modify Table dialog box appears.
Choose Triggers. The Table Triggers dialog box appears.
Delete the trigger filename for the trigger you want to remove.
Choose OK to return to the Modify Table dialog box.

To delete a field trigger:

Choose Schema Field Editor. The Field Editor alphabetically lists all the tables defined for your database.
Select the table for which you want to delete the trigger. The Field Editor appears.
Choose Triggers.
Choose the field for which you want to delete the trigger. The Field Triggers dialog box appears.
Delete the trigger filename for the trigger you want to remove.
Choose OK in the Field Triggers dialog box to return to the Field Editor.
